I don't think I spent much more than five days, at the very most, in Di An during the whole time. I was always forward with the battalion trains in Lia Khe. Verlutenhider is village outside Aachen and Crucifix Hill. Basic Training 1943 at Ft. Riley 1943. Shipped to England October 1943 from Halifax,NS with ITB of about 2500. Was stationed with 2nd Btn near Dorchester, England until invasion D-Day 1944. Served in Mortar Squad E Co. |

| Comments: | Nice site. I was a member of 4-18 IN, 2nd BDE, 3AD, from MAR '89-AUG '91. Served as a squad leader, in the S-3 shop, and was the brigade 11M master gunner. Best unit I ever had the pleasure of serving in. Went to OCS in '96 as a SFC and finishing degree completion in May and pinning on CPT. Served under LTC Bob Fulcher during Desert Storm.
